Disability Support Worker (Part Time/Casual)

SGSCC disAbility is seeking enthusiastic and experienced Support Workers to work closely with adults with a disability at their day program and/or individual activities.
  • Are you interested in supporting people with a disability with their individual needs?
  • Do you have an understanding of Human Rights, and can you apply these to your work?
  • Are you passionate about supporting people in the best ways possible for them?
  • Can you work effectively in both individual and team environments?

At SGSCC disAbility, we support individuals to live the life they choose. This may include support in group and individual settings.

To be a part of our team, you will need to have a positive attitude and a willingness to apply person centred principles to your work. It is also essential that you have effective communication skills, good oral language and written skills, flexibility and enthusiasm, a proactive approach to change and can work effectively independently and in a team.

You will need to have a current first aid certificate, a current working with children check, a current criminal record check, or willing to obtain these immediately.  A driver’s licence, access to your own vehicle and a smart phone is desirable but not essential.

It is also desirable that you have sound technology skills, a willingness to embrace new activities, and passions to share which will make a difference in someone’s life.
